Front u joint on rear driveshaft failed and wallowed out the holes and bent it slightly so now the caps go in crooked and ujoint binds on my 78. I see front driveshafts complete for sale everywhere but no rear. I could really just use the front slip half and could also use yoke that comes out of the NP203. I'm not a mechanic, just a hobbyist so any help on finding these parts would be appreciated. Great site IMG_1600.JPG

They are a matched set in the most basic sense. Get a whole new shaft or a whole new replacement which is probably pretty hard to find.

look around for BIG truck parts shops and ask if they do drive shaft work . they can get you fixed up when you find one .

i have a shop here in town that makes / fixes / drive shafts of all sizes .

you need a correctly balanced rear driveshaft. because of the speed it rotates. If its not balanced it will wreck stuff in short order. That's where the driveshaft shop comes in. They have the correct tools to build it and balance it out. Your front driveshaft doesn't turn nearly as fast or as much so people can get away with garage building them. IE the square tube front drive shaft.

Thanks for all the input everyone. Going to a driveshaft shop to avoid any future issues.
