Can anyone send me a photo of the gas tank filler neck connection between the tank and filler neck? Photos from my 1970 blazer are attached, and don’t look correct. It also is leaking when I fill with gas. Also, the PO appears to have used a marine fuel line tube to connect. Any photos of what is should look like would be appreciated.

To me, every thing looks right except the id of your filler hose, i think its supposed to be 1 3/8", tanks can supply you with the correct hose

I think @jaros44sr tried to type “Tanks Inc” Probably got auto corrected

LMC should also have those parts and possibly sizes. Not sure on the diameter as it’s been a year or 6 since I’ve had one of those

The '72 K5 I had years ago used the same metal filler pipe ,I had to replace the factory rubber hose on it when I swapped a nearly new tank in that I bought from a wrecked one but they chopped the hose off with a knife.
I used Gates Green Stripe fuel filler hose ,that was 1-3/8" diameter...reason I remember is I had to order a full 3 foot length to get it and it was almost $20 a foot back in the late '80's!..
That was with an employee discount too, luckily another customer came in looking for the same size a few months later so I sold him the leftover piece..

Yep, wrong size rubber hose. It’s an oddball size I had to get mine from “the truck shop” down in southern ca.

Thanks guys. I reattached the existing hose until I can find a new one that fits. My slow leak that only occurred when I put gas in is now a bigger leak that occurs when I drive it! I am also wondering if the leak is coming from the metal pipes the hose connects into (?). Every time I try to "fix" a problem I create another one!

That hose will leak on both ends until it’s the right size. Don’t let it catch fire!

I tightened up the hose clamps and seems to have slowed the leak. Should have a new hose this week. Thanks everyone for the tips/suggestions.
