Need glove box codes for gears

They made only a few of those I bet..I saw exactly one P-30 step van around a 71 vintage that had 6:17 ratio rear axle and it was GVW'd at 11,000 lbs..had a 292 straight six and a SM465 ...19.5" rims and tires too,factory...it was at the junkyard ,buried behind at least 20 cars for decades, stuffed full of parts..someone bought the rear axle and engine for a farm truck, the wanted it whole actually, but the front axle was long gone, probably got made into a trailer..

I wonder what ratio "standard ratio" is?.:dunno:.3.08"s would be my first guess..

Standard ratio would depend on the vehicle/drivetrain/year, and probably state in regards to CA. Standard ratio for a K5 with 700R4 might have been 3.08 in 1983, while the standard ratio for same in a 1987 was (I think) 3.73. Standard ratio with manual trans was normally different than with auto, etc.

Only way I'm aware of to really know what "base" ratio was, is to look at something like dremu's brochures page, as the drivetrain page of the brochure shows the gear ratio with whatever engine/trans combo.

Just as a note, the G80 RPO in trucks wasn't limited slip, it was the gov-lock.

You'll find some discrepancies like that car vs. truck, or year, but they are pretty uncommon, the G80 is the big one for trucks. Don't open every G80 1/2 ton truck diff up hoping to find a "real" Eaton posi unit in there lol.
