Need help!!! 91 suburban 2500 350 tbi 4x4

Would you buy this suburban? It is a 1994 or 1996 2500 4X4 with a 350 TBI in really nice shape for $2000. It has 3/4 ton axles already with a mild 4" lift. It has 150,000 miles but has been very well taken care of. I know the owners and they have owned it for at least 10 years of it's life.

Wha do you guys think is it a good deal?

if its in really good shape I'd probably buy it. Its a 94 by the way. 96 would be a Vortec 350, and $2k for it would be a STEAL. 3/4 tons with TBI 350s are severly under powered I think. I had a 95 pickup with a TBI 350, 4.10 gears, and the 4l80E transmission. Thing was a DOG. Is it an 8 lug 3/4 ton or 6 lug?

It's an 8 lug. I thought it was a 454 tbi and I wanted it to pull the engine and put in the k5.

I agree with you on the DOG part. That's why im wondering if it's even worth it. I already have the K5, with a 350 carb

350's arent that bad. I just dropped a fresh one with headers and a Holley TBI and FLIES down the road (only after my dumba$$ got the timing right). Of course I ditched the smog crap and put dual exhaust with bigger plugs and coil. I 'm afraid to really get after it cuz I broke the corner off the bellhousing pulling the old engine out. Half throttle is faster than the old one at full.

Do you guys think I can sell it after I get. I told the guy I would buy it thinking it had a 454 but now I feel bag going against my word. If I buy it do you think I can re-sell it, it for the same price? Or do you think i would lose on this deal? What to do....?

don't do that. you will only lose on that idea. Just tell the guy the truth, you thought it had a Big Block, sorry.

What year is it? I see 91,94,96. If it is a 91 is would have the 4l80E tranny with the stand alone computer which is worth some money to guys looking to do a 4L80E in an older truck.

what year is it exactly? 91 would be a totally different body style. 94 doesn't have the updated interior and has the TBI 350, and 96 has the new interior and Vortec 350.

I say pass, and let the guy know you are sorry again thats my opinion on it.
