original balzer
1/2 ton status
Ok I am thinking about picking up another truck. Im not dead set on any particular one just what I want.
I want a mid 80's 4x4 1 ton dually reg cab flat bed.
now heres my questions.
I would like to run 9.00x16 grip spur tires. Has anyone ever run them? Are they a tube tire or is there a tubeless version? How did you like them? Is there another tall skinny tire that wears like iron you would sugest?
EDIT: I just remembered 19.5" 8 lug wheel conversions, are there any fairly tall agressive tires for 19.5" wheels?
To run them:
front, I would like a 1" zero rate with 1" forward on the axle. I would then add bushwacker cut out flairs.
rear they should work with some dual spacers
On to steering
1 Does crossover help cure death wobble? Or make it worse?
2 Will crossover work with virtually no lift?
3 Does crossover affect turning circle at all?
This is a truck for a new business venture and it needs to have good clearance yet not too tall and have a tight turning circle for manuverability. It needs to carry quite a bit of weight on fairly agressive tires.
