need help asap!! truck update please read

Re: need help asap!!

Only because its akward as hell you need two people to lift it off. As it is we can probibly just lift it a ways up to clear the assy. But we will look at it.
I'm almost done cleaning my tool box(lol) then I'll pack up and leave. I'll pm my # to you when I get home. I'll check here first though.

Re: need help asap!!

BANG on the Gas tank with your fist. It might get it to kick over and run enough to get you home. Might have somebody try cranking it when he's banging.

Re: need help asap!!

well he is home now thanks to a tow truck and 180.00 dollars later! /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif he tried everything to get it to start all he did was end up killing the battery now! he is off to the parts store to get a new test light ours went tits! figures this is just not our day or year! what else can go wrong! so will let you all know if there is power or not to the pump if there is then its the pump thats gone, if no power than that means there is something else going wrong! I will keep you posted.

Re: need help asap!!

well thanks to everyone for all the info and help and ideas as to what could be wrong with that thing! after getting it towed home after a nice cost of 200 bucks! /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif my husband listened to all my info that you guys gave me and he then talked to ntaj*p (aaron) on the phone and went out and started checking things, the feul sensor relay fuse fuse was blown so got that part first hoping it was the only thing since it was only 20 bucks well no such luck! had to drop the gas tank any way after checking to see if there was power now going to the pump of course after new relay fuse there was now power unfortunatly no pump working! so there went another 330.00 for pump! /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif well it went in fast and got everything back together than the real test to see if she was gonna start! well she started right up like a brand new truck! the best part was our gas gauge had been broken for the past 5-6 months so we always had to set the trip odometer to know when to put gas in it! well the gas gauge works now apparently the gas gauge sensor is part of the stupid fuel pump! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif so now that the truck was on empty my son got all the gas out of the truck after syphoning a full tank out of it my son was grinning from ear to ear with that since he didn't have to pay for it! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif so hubby went and put gas in it to see how it was gonna run and she ran awesome the past couple of months it had been starting hard and just sucking gas like crazy and it just ran like crap like it needed a tuneup! not anymore runs like it just came off the assembly line!
all thanks to you guys for all the info and advice you gave on how to fix it and what to look for and even though it still cost us an fortune to fix my husband was able to fix it himself and save at least 400 in labour cost from the dealership! the best news of all we just found out late last night that we have towing coverage on our insurance! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif i didn't know i had been paying for years for that! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif so we have to send in our towing receipt and we will get our money back with no deductible so we get the whole 200 back! so thanks you guys for responding so quick in a stressful situation, you guys are awesome! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
