I have decided on beadlocks for my project rig, but what to get ? I know my sizing info but I am looking for overall best value, that said I have considered these major manufacturers; TR, Champion,Allied, Considered H1 locks but I couldn't find info/pricing on re-centering them so I have kinda strayed away from that. I quick google search yielded me a result from High-impact wheels whom I have never heard of but they really match what Im looking for 16x10, offset 3.75", Steel, 8 on 6.5. Has anyone heard of them used 'em? The price for steelies seems reasonable.

I was excited by the price I guess but I am willing to pay more for a superior product and I know the major mfg's are quality but bucks. Gimme some pointers.

Are you running a Dana 60 front? If so, you could get dually hubs and run H1's without recentering. You can get dually hubs dang near free (or trade straight up for singletrack hubs).

H1's are by far the cheapest and they are double beadlocks - they'll lock the inner and outer sides of the tire.

The best other alternative IMO is to get some cheap steelies, then a weld-on kit like diy4x sells.

I am interested in this as well, I thought about the H1s but I have a brand new pair of 15" 40"s I would like to use. Plus it seems as though tires in the 16.5" variety are becoming less commen.

yeah, D60 front, swap the hubs out huh, never thought of that one sounds quite reasonable. funny I just finished rebuilding it with all new innards and shafts. I guess thats an option but I dont think I am trying to work backwards, this project has gone that way already. Any other ideas?

I run non recentered h1 rims on a srw dana 60 on my white truck. With a 2 inch spacer it works just fine. If you have any concerns about wheel spacers and abuse look at my avatar.

You can get recented h1's for 200 each

What do you run in the rear to make it match the front?

Would the spacers also work on a D44?

H1's are what I went with. When I did mine it cost me less than what Stuans would cost, no doubt. I paid 130 per wheel, for the wheels, centers, recentering, & rock rings inner & outer, and having the 2 pc wheel nuts chromed (powder was not included in that price simpley because someone can rattle can if needed, but add about 25 per wheel for what I paid). I'm happy with how they turned out. But since Stuans can be moved to a different wheel of the same size, that could be handy. If a wheel gets boogered up, the staun could be moved to a new wheel without the cost of another beedlocked wheel. It's all relative though, .. Stuans could get damaged too.

Lemme know who has 'em.

supersize75k5 I always had a thing about wheel spacers, you have pretty much cleared that one up for me, I have a buddy that runs them just like that with the 2 inch spacer on a SRW 60, but hes not jumpin'.

I forgot about Stuans, who here has or currently uses them, are they easy to install because if they are really a B Ill stick with real locks. I think their price is decent.

Never mind, found via Pirate. 406 YJ is has a great price for nice looking stuff. Im pretty sure if he still has them available I will be going that route. Thanks everyone for the input.

Trail Ready HD beadlocks hands down....

I recently put 12 of their wheels through 1000 miles of hell and they did great plus they have excellent customer service.:wink1:

We hit two large (18" plus) rocks at 35+ MPH and bent both wheels on that side. 4 wheels bent but they still hold air. Also trail ready does a race wheel repair program that really helps us out with getting the wheels fixed.
