I have a stock '78 K5, auto, full time 4wd. Springs seem to be in good shape but i have to assume they have sagged a little over time. I'd like to raise the height front & rear back to stock or maybe 1 or 2 inches higher. I'd not looking to put a 3+" lift and change a bunch of other things, I simply want a little extra lift while maintaining a decent ride quality and not making any other drastic alterations, unless they are basic things like new shocks or something along those lines. I never installed helper or add-a-leaf springs so I'm looking for some info. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I would say that since you only want to lift it a small amount, you can raise the front 1 inch with a zero rate and then put a 2 inch block on the rear since these normally sag more in the rear. You could go up another inch with a body lift. I helped a buddy do exactly this to his '78. It worked great!
For more information, check out Offroad Design. They have what you need and technical information too.
Or look around on here more as well.
