just a little ift and tires..
of coarse a palm tree can end the fun of new paint..
so just give up and start with the sawsall and flat black, might as we sell it to your friend too...."sheds a tear"

Thanks for all the replys guys! keep um commin! Bablazer, My suburban is allready that same color so im looking for somthing differnt all though i do like it alot. Super size I allways loved that red color you had on the 75. What was that color? and how much was it for a gallon? Im thinking i'll use a hole gallon of whatever color so its harder to put un buffable(is that a word?) scratches in it plus probly do a coart of clear too. So other than "supersize red" I still think its going to be black just not sure if it should be flat black or gloss black /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

well my head hurts but here goes
that paint is a single stage urethane, bright red pearl, about 600-700 bucks a gallon, and if you wee to cut it "buff it" you would turn it to a ugly haze of a color.
I was fortunate to get it for just 40 bucks per gallon since it had been made already and sitting there, I just went there last month I asked for it and they said it was all gone, a while later we found the lkast two gallosns,
hell of a deal, this time I am shooting a bright white base coat first so it wont be as dark.
I would look into trying to find already mixed paint, hell of a deal alot of the time /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

i painted mine same same color as zcarzcar,jjlaughner, and derfoo.
i love that " gun metal gray " look. i have a 1984 , which
calls for the solid side molding . but i used the newer style , which is ribbed for her pleasure /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif.

I like black. But get used to buffing or 'pin stripes' as you can see in this pic.

There's alot of Gray and Black rigs...
I ordered Radar Blue for my rig...
when I opened up the gallon...I found this color..
Since they messed up...I got the paint for free..
And I'm glad they did!!! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
