So my 90 blazers wiper switch in my steering column broke (not the lever but the switch inside the column) So i looked up the part i needed and being that i have a tilt wheel and pulse wipers it coresponed to Standard Motor Products DS494 Wiper Switch. I thought great but the price was well over $100. So i did some shopping around and found a place selling for $60.

Now here is the problem!!! The part came yesterday and it doesn't match the one i have the one i have has the (im guessing) cruz control wire running from the lever not the switch but the switch that came has the same wire running from the switch and the wire colors are different (not just shade different but entirely different colors) I have not removed to old part yet but from what i can see their is no part number on it or maybe im looking in the wrong place.

Dose anyone know enough about these to help me out???

I will try to get a picture up of the two parts late tomorrow so you can better understand what i am talking about. Just want to know if i ordered the wrong part or if they sent me the wrong part? and if i ordered the wrong part what is the right one?

Lots of times wire colors will change when going from one item to another. Does the wiring from your lever plug into the connector on the switch?

So her are the pics: The first two picture are the old part i pulled out and the third pic is the old parts wiring harness. The last two pictures are the new part. As you can see their are quit obvious differences in the two parts. Just in the wireing harness alone the old part has 7 wires to it and the new part has 3 and one that is jumped between the end two ports. Second of all in the last picture you can see some sort of cruz control plug in (i think) and the old part dose not have that as the cruz control comes from the lever. The new part was hand labeled and i feel maybe it was labeled wrong??? Also the only number on the old part is B9331-R but after searching it doesn't seem to help or correspond to anything.

Can anyone identify either of these parts?

Is it possible it is the same part just newer and if so why dose it come with the cruz control adapter that is attached to nothing at the other end? Maybe some sort of adapter?

It could be a misboxed part or maybe it is for an S series blazer/jimmy?

Well i figured it out it! there where actually two made for similar application The part i needed was actually DS-1586 just in case any one cares. But the price is looking like a Pick'N'Pull find will be well worth the savings.
