Picked up a 2nd. gen. top yesterday. Don't know that much about what was used, for what years, etc. No pic's, but here goes. It has the side windows with the little tilt vents, and sliding side windows. The rear has the slot for the glass to come up from the tailgate. It has been sitting outside on the ground for a few years, but overall its in good shape. The windows are all good, and no breaks in exterior of top. The bottom mounting rail on the passenger side where the bolt holes are has 1 broken spot where 1 bolt goes in. Could easily be fixed. Any ideas on what this came off of? What years it fits? Thank's in advance.

Thank's 4x4HIGH, that helps. The paint is faded pretty bad, and I thought about rattle canning it back to black, but then I thought maybe I'll just leave it as is for the new owner. My k5 is a 1970, so can't use this one. I knew that when I picked this one up, but just could'nt leave it sitting in the woods. Really would like to have the vent, sliding type windows in my 1st. gen. though!

Anybody know someone that has done this mod? Take a 2nd. gen. window setup, and graft it into a 1st. gen. top? Would be cool to have the sliders in the rear!

just a nitpick, but Wouldnt the 2nd generation top be the 73-75 full top that fit the first of the second generation blazers with the 76- being 3rd generation?

I have sliders in my 73 and love them, but they do add a bit of weight.

When talking generation they are going by body style, not full or half top.
