A friend in Texas sent me this adapter that he found very odd. It is definitely NOT the 4L80E to NP205 adapter I am looking for, but he figured it may be or use if I have to custom fabricate anything...

From mating surface to mating surface, it measures 2.500" and from the base of the mounting blocks to the center of the output shaft opening, it measures 8.000".

It is made of cast aluminum and does not have any markings on it what so ever! My friend own a very large highly reputable performance transmission shop and is a very knowledgeable builder himself and he isn't even quite sure what this is exactly!

It looks to me like it may be the TH400 to NP 208 "tall" adapter, so this won't be of help to me...or will it?

HELP??!?!?!?!?!

aftermarket for 208/241 prob cause no boss on the side for 205 shifter piviot bolt hole.

and if you ask me sh!tty casting job as 1/2 the holes dont line up to the thick pads centered.

What sweet said...

A member here offered me an exact same thing you show in the pic to sell. I declined because it was missing the shifter boss that the 205 needs. His price was pretty good but couldn't use it.

Okay, I didn't pay for it and the machine work definitely looked sloppy to me! I didn't pay for it or anything, he just thought it may be of help in some way I guess...

That is an OEM (or repro) NP208 to TH400 tall adapter used in 1981 to 1984 civilian trucks and 1984 to 1987 military Blazers and pickups.
