need help in buying new stuff

hi all,,

i am about to start modding my big block 454 engine.. what i want to do now is just add a new intake manifold and a new carb. so can you please help or give me suggestions on what to get...

i want something that operates from idle - 5500
and it also has to give that beautiful roar when the enigne is at idle!!

it should be something that is street friendly and will do well offroad (in sands)

i would first get a truck avenger carb, but do they make one big enough for a 454???? hummmmm i think so
and do a duel plane endelbrock performer RPM intake

i've seen it alot in summitracing... do you know anyone who tried that carb??

one more thing.. is it better to get a carb with high cfm or low.. there are three truch avenger carbs one wtih 470, 670 and 770 cfm... which would be best?
