87 gmc jimmy 12in lift front drive shaft won't fit rear has too much angle and makes a grinding noise when slowing down 700r4 and 208 what can i do. 407 719 1621

for the front you are probably going to need to spend some serious money to get a CV shaft that will handle the angle. same thing for the rear.

check high angle driveline or Tom Woods.

Or you could take some of the lift out of it. do you have any pics of the truck that you could post up? 12" of lift is a lot. I'm geussing you are trying to clear some big tires without a bodylift or trimming the fenders.

hey i live near you! haha

yeah either lower it down, or your gonna be spending big $ on custom Driveshafts. since your local check out advance driveline. they do great work, its were my family and friends have always had our work done at.

oops i re posted i'm new on here that is not what i wanted to hear but if thats what it is so be it. how about a 205 with fixed front and rear outputs

yuo could clock your 208 or the 205 and lower the front yoke, but either way the rear will still be teh same height.

and with a fixed rear output your going to need a new rear driveshaft. and possibly hybrid joints. (conversion joints)

and by teh way...

nobodys done a 12 in lift on a blazer. If so what did u do

the problem is that that much is lift is bound to cause problems with any truck. cut the body and use a body lift and you can fit the same tires with less lift.

I have a 10" of total lift and 44's. 12" of lift is for the show crowd. if you are building your truck for car shows then forget about the front shaft. all of us real wheelers are gonna laugh at your truck no matter if it has a front shaft or not.
