I won a lt1 350 off of ebay. 1st can it ran a carb? 2nd will it bolt to my 350 trans? It just the long block what is the diffrent in old 350 to a lt1?

I think Edelbrock or GM Performance Parts makes an intake for use with a carb. I know they do for the LS1. Here. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=NAL%2D24502592&autoview=sku

It should bolt up fine to a 350. Block to bell housing that is. Flywheel and torque converter clearance, I don't know.

The LT1 has
1. reverse cooling, meaning it cools the heads first.
2. Cam driven water pump. Not directly off the cam but a gear driven off the cam.

There are a couple differences year to year and platform to platform. For example, F-body (Camaro, Firebird), and B-body (Impala, Caprice) cars had 2 bolt mains. The vettes had 4 bolt mains. If you state the year and car it came out of you can find out the details. In my opinion 1995 was the best year for LT1's. All the bugs fixed liked vented Opti. But before OBDII controls.

94 camaro is what it is out of. intake great thanks, What about my distributer can I use my old one?

the 94 model doesn't have the vented optispark. GM added a vent system tied in a vacuum line to deal with moisture problems. The optical sensor is sensitive to that kind of stuff, so if you plan to do alot of water crossing you may run into trouble. Although you can seal it up. One of the reasons they fail is the high current that passes through thin leads under epoxy. It still has provisions in the block to accept a oldschool distributor. In fact the oil pump is still driven off the cam, basicly a cut down distributor. The downside is you have to machine the factory intake or find an aftermarket that is set up for such a swap. You would still have to run the Optical sensor in the optispark for the computer to know when to fire. It's really a sweet set up, the computer knows where the cam is every .5 degree. Here are a couple links to give you some ideas.

I have only had to replace mine once. It's a pain in the camaro but if its going in a blazer, it should plenty of wiggle room.

If you really want to go old school and run a carb and dizzy. You can ditch the computer and optispark all together but it would leave an open hole in the timing cover. I reccomend you kept it as it is just seal up the opti. I hate dealing with the carb in my k5.
In the camaro, if I want to change something, I just fire up EFILive, press a few keys and vwola .

got the motor for 250.00 no tpi or wirging yes I would run it if it was all their but
