My dad is making a trip from Reno to Sandy, UT March 14-16 for work (the construction company he works for is building a Scheel's Sporting Goods there) and he will be back hauling empty. I got authorization from his boss to haul back the pallet with my new trans and transfer case IF I could find someone to get it to the Scheel's job site in Sandy...

Does anyone happen to be making that trip anytime soon? The pallet is ready to go now...

Thank you in advance,

Steve

Well as long as the weather is the way it is, I am not going to Denver, but when it gets better, I go to Denver regularly and can haul it back for you even all the way to Reno, NV.:dunno:

Do you normally make the trip to Reno? If that is the case, I can just have you bring it whenever...the March 14-16 timeline is simply *IF* it is going to Sandy, UT only...

How does this work as far as coming up with a fair dollar amount to pay you for helping a brother out? I've never done this before and no other forum community I am on does this...

Well it's usually easy for me:
If I don't have to get out of my way, I have no problem doing it for $50-$100,
If I have to drive off my path to meet for pickup or delivery that adds to the cost.
I drive a big rig (18 wheeler) and it gets 5-6 mpg, and it's not easy to turn around (72' long) so the easier it is, the less it costs.
I live in Norcal and I go up and down thru Reno once or twice a week going to UT, but in the spring and summer I also go to CO and WY.
In fact I know I should be going to Cheyenne, WY at the end of March.
I always figure how much it would cost for one to ship their items and if I am not saving them at least half, I don't bother with it.
