Need help on finding a tranny for a 91Blazer S10 4x4

I just need general help or info on the tranny.
My sisters tranny went out at Laguna Seca this weekend
and I need to slap a new tranny in for her.

Whats the engine and whats the trany??

The engine is a 3.4L V6.
I don't know the tranny though.
It has Overdrive if that helps.

Well if it is a 3.4L, its a 60 degree block and any trany that bolts up to the 2.6 V6 or the 2.5 I4 will fit it. If you are talking about an auto trany, it will be a 700r4 albiet somewhat lighter duty than the same thing for a 4.3L V6 or a V8 (both 90 degree blocks).
