alright last month i put 33x12.50x15 bfg mts on my truck with procomp's version of a crager soft 8 chrome wheel. Haven't been able to get the balance right since then and finally the shop guys checked and the steel wheels are warped. Great. So since 4wheelparts is useless and procomp sucks. I need your opinion of a good, cheap, aluminum wheel that runs true i.e. round when viewed from side and straight when viewed from top to mount these tires on. I thought about things like american racing, american eagle etc and the mickey thompson classic series. Only thing is I'd rather not look like every other person on the road. Btw this truck sees only a little light offroading and i need something polished aluminum or chrome. Size would be 15x8 with aroudn 4" backspacing. Thanks for the help.

If I went aluminum it would definitely be the MT Classic IIs. I know everyone has them but I love 'em. I had them on my '96 GMC a long time ago with 33s and they looked good and drove great.

well i don't mind steel but i would like the reduced weight and so on, is there another reason to go with steel other than the price?

Well my reasons are probably different than 90% of the guys on here: Originality and looks. :D I prefer stock stuff overall.

Hurricane wheels:D ...course they arent made anymore...:(

my mom has the mT classic 2s and they look sweet!

if its mainly a street truck id say run aluminum, did yuo look into eagle alloy wheels also? they have some pretty sweet lookin wheels too...

I am at the completely other end of the spectrum from Craig. I beat the snot out of trucks. Steel wheels will hold up better to off road use and abuse. If you bend the lip on a steel wheel you can beat it back with a hammer. an aluminum wheel will crack. I have peeled the bead on an aluminum wheel. its more money to fix then to buy a new wheel.

I like these, thats probably why they are on my truck. :D Or a set of the new HD wheels or Hummer 2 wheels, but then you would need new tires.
