okay I have all of my seats, center console, etc gutted but i need to know how to take off the trim around the 4wd shifter so i can remove the carpet properly...Anyone know how?

Screws front and back or on the sides, remove shifter ball and bingo.
Should be screws (phillips heads) on the front and back.
Just feel around the base of the shifter they are there

Shouldve looked at this earlier 
I removed the carpet without removing the shifter so it worked out well anyways....All of the carped and insulation just got removed and now i am wondering on what to do with all of these wires....Thinking of just lifting them up, then sanding/painting on the bedliner, and after it dries replacing the wire but hiding it in the groove near the door (also where the silver plate will run over it...Sound like a good idea?

I haven't had any issues running mine under there. Needed a place to hide it since mine has Bedliner instead of carpet.
