My dad just replaced the motor in his 95 chevy and he had everything hooked up but when he went to hook up the battery all the lights in the truck came on with the doors shut, and lights off. He said it started up fine and all the lights went off but when he went to turn it off it just stayed running. Like it had no power telling it to turn off. Not sure how he got it to stop.

He said he's looked everything over 3 times now and can just NOT figure this out. He unhooked the starter and the distributor but when he hooks up the battery all the lights and such come back on.

So my question is if there IS a wire pinched(which he says is probably the culprit) which one do you think it might be?? Can't think of one specific that would make everything turn on like that. :dunno:

Thanks and i'll keep checkin in to see the responses. He's really gotta get this thing going

Still no ideas?? I guess i could look to see what wires I have on mine plugged up. There's only a year difference :dunno:

Just thought maybe someone had some kind of idea
