Need help/suggestions...

OK guy's and gals here it is the wife OK'd the cash, I'm getting my lift ttommorow, so I thought I knew what I wanted but now I'm not sure and I am going to rely on your vast experience here on K5.
I ws going to get a superlift 4" with 35" tires, now I am second guessing my choice, should I go genuine suspention or Rancho, what. I know I'm asking a question like which is better Ford or Chevy, but I could use your advice. Or better yet has anyone bought a 4" and wished they had bought a 6" I only want to do this once. I'm mailnly going to do mud with the occasional rocks every now and then, that is my plan now who knows what the future holds.
HELP, I've gotta do it I'm like a kid a Christmas!

with your current style of wheeling a superlift kit would probably suit you best. it is a stiff system compared to others but you could probably live with it on the street. stiff is what you want in the mud. 4 in lifts dont have as many problems as a 6 inch lift. if you must have 6 go with 4 suspension and 2" body. you will have plenty of room for 35's. Be sure to get all spring if you can afford it, blocks will net you excessive axle wrap. JMHO

35s will probably rub if you flex it up.

4" srings are a good place to start tho.

Should I look at another brand other than superlift? Also I was looking at going with a block set up for now until I can order an ORD shackle flip kit. But, should I get an add a leaf to keep it from sagging? Or, will 4" springs all around be OK for what I am planning on doing?

I can't claim any experience on spring branding differences. Some will suggest different brands for different purposes

But if you go with 4" hardware all the way around you will probably end up very close to level and a good ride with medium springs.

If you have the D60/14FF combo, the D60 puts the springs a little higher thus the saggy-ass look.

Yeah, and when the wind is just right you can hear the motors while sitting on my front porch! Gotta love it. I have some friends that used to race there too. I'm off Galloway.
