Well thanks to z3pr over here i scored a d60. I just started to tear it down to refurbish it but i cant seem to find a way to get the damn calipers off lol. Im use to my 2 bolts on my old d44 but there isnt any bolts to be found on this one  Man this is some sorta joke to be asking how to take off calipers but i just cant figure it out lmao. Its a kingpined axle out of a 84 chevy if that helps aswell lol.

There is a small bolt on one end of the caliper where it slides onto the caliper bracket. It takes an allen wrench. Unscrew that...and knock out the little 'spring' under that. The spring is a flat piece of metal that kind of looks like this: ]

After you take that off, the caliper will come right off.

I was in the same boat....
you need to remove the one screw lookin bolt that has a big head on it... believe it is a torqs
then the metal that it holds on slides out and the caliper comes off...

since this is your first time.. wait till ya try and put it back on....
seemed not as sturdy to me when I did it but hey it works... :cool1:
