I have 1998 chevy k1500 4x4 and the problem is i removed my transfer case and when i put it back in i noticed that the drain plug is stripped any thoughts on removing it and the next question when i fill the transmission fluid up does it go into the transfer case as well.I didnt want to drive it because i cant fill the transfer case up but i figured if when i fill the transmission up and it goes back to the transfer case i figured i could drive it then.
Thanks for all your help

transmission and transfer case are seperate there is a seal inbetween. try a hammer and a cold chesiel, find a flat spot on whats left of the hexagon, put chesiel as a steep angle turning ccw,hit a few good blows, watch not to dig in the aluminuim case! i do it all the time but with a air hammer.
