Seems like these are kicking my ass for some reason. Part of the complication is that I'm not running an air pump. It also looks like the previous owner didn't have the power steering pulley pressed on all the way so he wasn't using the correct pulley grooves. Beside the fact I didn't think to even keep the old belts.

I need to know if anyone has part numbers for the 2 belts I would need. 1 will go around the CRANK, WATER PUMP, and ALTERNATOR. The other will go around the CRANK, WATER PUMP, and STEERING PUMP.

Or how do I measure for belts? String around the inside of the pulleys on the bottom of the groove or around the outside of the pulleys.

I like to use 1/2"ish rope to get a semi-accurate idea of belt length. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries to get the right belts.

Are you sure those aren't stock length belts?

I want to say the alt-water pump-crank was a 46-47". I can look tomorrow.

Okay. I had a feeling they might be the same. 46" makes sense because I have a 43" belt from the 350 that is too short.

So using the 46" length I found part numbers looking under a 74 K30 with 454. Carquest listed a Dayco belt 15460 and 15455.

The 15460 is 46" and used for crank-fan-alternator w/o air pump.

The 15455 is 45.5" and used for crank-fan-power steering w/o A/C.

I'm going to use the 15460 for both so I only need 1 spare. Even tho it's not listed for the power steering, I think it fits better anyway. It's actually a little tight for the alternator side it's listed for.

I looked at mine last night when I found this thread, and it has 46" belts on it. I bought all the brackets and pulleys new from GM back in '97 for a 1985 truck.

And watch how the lower radiator hose goes onto the water pump, mine rubs the belt slightly. Not a big problem, I just trim the edge off of the hose, but it doesn't eliminate the rubbing.

Yes! I noticed that exact thing! At first I was afraid it was rubbing the pump.

it's really close to that hose on mine too. Good to know the belt on p-pump is the same length as the other, I haven't got that far yet......

Yeah if I ever get A/C I thought I would use that kit. As long as I remember about it. Haha
