Okay so I bought this Blazer from my father in law for a really good price, but it needed the new motor to be installed. It had a 305 and we are putting in a rebuilt 350. We have virtually everything on the motor, BUT we have no idea where any of the wiring goes or where some of it is located. If i could get some pics of where all of the wiring goes it would be a great help! I am new to the forum and am looking forward to help and be helped! I will update my profile tomorrow with some pics. Thanks Guys!:waytogo:

Itd be easier if you snapped a pic and circled (possibly numbered using paint) all the wire connectors in question :waytogo:

Wow thanks for such a quick response. Okay will have to snap some pics tomorrow. We wouldn't have a problem but I bought it while the other motor was already in the process of being taken out and it is always difficult to try to finish something thats been started. The main wire we were trying to find today is the wire that plugs into the distributor. I am not the mechanic. That would be my brother lol. We have mounted the motor and have most of the accessories on. I will post pics tomorrow of what we have done so far so check back tomorrow please:waytogo:

Moved to the Garage where it'll get more "views" and where it belongs. This is a general inquiry, not a "Build thread".

Welcome to CK5...

The easiest I've found on wiring is to drape the wiring bundle on the motor. Things like alt and starter will be the longest, but regardless the wiring itself will give you a pretty good clue where it once ran just by how it wants to lay. Distributor power will be a fairly short chunk of wire coming out of the big loom near the firewall...

Great advice... Not only will doing this help with his problem, it will allow him to gain some experience and knowledge...

A lot of shop manuals at the parts store have wiring diagrams with color coding and location to which wires go. For 20 bucks usually you'd get a good overview of repairs.mine is too old to really help ya since its a 72 but my manual shows where things are and where the wires go from the junction block.
