hi i,am new here been checking out ck5 for a long time but never posted. i have check out lots off old threads but never found the solution that suited me.i got a 1984 jimmy which i converted too convertible a couple off years ago,i made a rollbar for safty reason,at the b pillar.and welded a 1/4inch by 4inch wide by 48 inch rocker renforcement. it flexs quit a bit would like too finish rollbar too the front and through the dash,with a small as possible pipe with out cutting up the dash too much .i don,t climb rocks or any real hard wheeling,mostly dirt roads a bit off mud because its in my way.
