Well I've got two problems with my 90 blazer that I can't figure out.

I've got a metallic click or pop when i press the brakes as the weight of the vehicle shifts forward. I'm thinking suspension due the the weight shift but who knows. Sounds like it's coming from the driver's side front but nothing is visually wrong aside from old worn out bushings in the leaves.

However, upon inspection for above i noticed a rubber hose with some fitting i dont recognize hanging from the truck. Comes from above the trans somewhere. I'm not real sure what it is but it had a weird fitting that's now mangled and the hose is about 3/8 inch diameter (not measured just guessing) and, of course, was laying on my exhaust so it's burned through. Is this a breather line for the trans or some kind of vacuum line maybe? I haven't noticed the truck behaving to oddly but maybe i'm just oblivious.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Pics of the hose will probably result in a definate answer as to what it is/was for.

If you know the bushings are wore out i would replace them before trying to figure out what the noise is (could be from the worn bushings).
