Hi All,
I have a set of new trany mounts for my 1975 K5 and have a few issues preventing me from putting them in.
First, Rig Details - 1975 K5 350\TH35o\NP203
1. One of the old bolts is broken off inside the transfer case.
2. The picture in my manual shows some sort of a u shaped washer between the lower mount and the bolt, looks like a fitted shim
3. On the passenger side, there was only one bolt on the upper part of the cross member and it seems to get one in I would have to lift the body, is that correct?
For #1 I assume that the only option is to hope that an extractor gets the bolt out.
For #2, do I need that special washer or can I just use a big flat washer. Also should I be using lock washers and what grade bolts should I be using?
