need help with two things

1. I need to order a fuel sending unit from lmc , the catolog says the 25 gal tank is 10.75 inches deep and the 31 gal tank is 12.75 deep .......is this measured from the very top of the tank(where the sending unit mounts ) or from the top flat part of the tank to the bottom flat part? or is there another way to tell which one i have?


2. i have the power seats out of a 2003 silverado SS , the drivers seat had the air bag module under it and the plug for that was tied into the seat wiring. If I hotwire the seats with the big orange (power , i assume ) and big black wire ( ground , i assume) the passenger seat works fine , forword , back , tilt , lumbar supports everything. the drivers seat does nothing , there is a big silver box under the drivers seat (i assume its some kind of control assembly for the airbag control?) how do i get the drivers seat to work? take this box out and rewire it to be wired like the passengers side?

anyone??? c'mon guys i need some info , i was planning on installing the seats this weekend. but need to be able for the drivers side to operate. thanks , john

I am thinking that box is wired into the seat position memory. You would have to try and eliminate that box and rewire it similar or the same as the pass side.

Maybe find another pass side power seat and take the harness out of it and make it work for the driv side.
