NEED HELP

Hello,
What is that thing that sticks out of the intake right by the thermostat housing? It is about 3" and has I believe 4 or 5 point sticking out from it. It is on the left side of the housing (pass side). I went off-roading last night and I threw belts and over heated and water and coolant where pissing out of this thing onto my engine.

do you need it? It is pissing out my coolant

If you need to pass emissions , replace it . If not a concern or they don't check , reroute the hoses without it , and go to the parts store and buy a pipe plug . I went a got a 1970 c-10 water neck , and it came with only one hole and a plug , thats what I used , 10 bucks at the parts store /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif
