Hey Guys,
I have been having probs with my DD for over a month now. My prob is it overheating when I get to town with a lot of stops and slow traffic. It is totally fine on the high way with the air keeping it cool though.

So far I changed the thermostat, waterpump, new dual fan assembly, drained, flushed, and new coolant, and new radiator cap. I though it might be the sensor but it does not raise unless I am IN town and it never acts irratic (sp). Also New belts, harmonic balancer, and radiator hoses. It is a 98 Chrysler Concord with a 3.2. The car itself did not run bad at all before I started. I do think I got the timing belt off just a hair though. (a very slight vibration and lost 3 to 4 MPG based on the onboard computer) I will try to fix this this weekend.

The only specific question is, with the closed colling system (no cap on radiator, it is on the coolant resovoir and is a pressure system) should I have ANY coolant at all in my overflow. I checked last night with a light and the main resovoir is past its max but not a drop in the over flow.

Any help would be great. Besides the burb, this is my only vehicle and driving 80 miles round trip a day for work sucks.

Please Help.

It sounds like you have air trapped in the syst, dodge's are bad for this the best way to cure this is to pull a vacume on the cooling syst and then refill under vacume ( mac tools sells a kit for this for about 75.00) or take it to a good shop so they can do it I usually charge 15.00 + coolant for this but it solves the overheating problems. there are a few bleed screws in the coolant syst to reduce the air but they seldome work once the air gets trapped in the water jackets surrounding the cylinders. good luck.
