My tbi motor won't run right. I was driving it and it acted like it was running out of fuel. I changed the filter and that didn't work. It is getting fuel, I looked at the injectors they are still spraying when it dies. I can start it and it idles up then almost dies then idles up and almost dies then idles up and dies. It will run(like crap)if I keep my foot on the gas, as soon as I let up it dies. Also, as soon as I put it in gear it dies. I thought maybe crank position sensor or tps, but I really don't want to play the "guess the sensor" game. Is it possible that the fuel pump isn't pumping enough psi? Any help is appreciated, I'm still getting used to tbi and I suck at electrical stuff. Thanks

You need to check for trouble codes. It wll help to dagnose the problem. See the sticky at the top of this forum to see how to bring up the codes and what they mean.

I tried the jumper wire and my system must be screwed up. All the light does is flash once then stay on. I don't have a clue. I turned up the pressure regulator, doing it the "do it yourself" way with the stock regulator. I am going to change the pump next.

Well, I cut a hole in the floor and changed the pump out. It seems like that was the problem. I haven't test drove it yet but at least it will idle and run now. I do need to turn the regulator back down though, I have a bunch of wasted fuel coming out the tailpipes now. I can definately hear i difference between the new and old pump. The old one must have been crapping out on me................................I hope!
