Need info on tranny cooler

Well get a cooler in there ASAP then. Pull your dipstick and smell the fluid. If it smells burnt or is not cherry red then you should change your fluid and filter ASAP too, and DON"T use OD until you get 5.13's

You won't know until you loose OD and 3rd gear from a toasted 3/4th clutch pack.

If you haven't spent much time in OD it should be ok. It also depends on what kind of shape the tranny was in before the larger tires.

Been there, done that. It sucks, trust me. I lost OD in one like that. I lost OD but kept cruising in D. I got off the freeway and after I stopped I had no gear at all except a little reverse. Had to take the sh*tty end of the tow strap home behind a Ford that day.

I was talking to one of my friends and he said that my TV cable might be out of adjustment also, would this cause my tranny to go into OD early??
