Do any of the techs here know how to disable the passenger side airbag in a 2003 BMW Z4? My wife needs to drive her dads car tomorrow and needs to take the baby to the sitters in the morning so that airbag MUST be disabled before doing so. Thanks for any help. The wife is out trying to figure it out now while I type this here.

Is there any tag on the windows about 2nd generation airbags? If so there may not be a manual disconnect, it is controlled by the computer, and the baby and car seat weight is not enough to allow the airbag to go off. Granted, I would still prefer a manual switch. Sorry I can't be more help.

My wife found it. There is a place to turn if off with the vehicle key on the passenger side of the dash once the door is open.

Yeah, I knew there was either a switch or button somewhere to disable it. Considering it is about DARK THIRTY outside and the car is parked in the street with very poor lighting on the passenger side it was easier to just ask where it is located rather than fumble with the car in the dark.
