I've been fabing a hendrix chassis to my truck frame. It's getting pretty close to running. I'm ready to order my radiator, been looking at the ron davis radiators from poly performance. The front of my chassis is narrow, I can only fit a 24-26in radiator 16 or 19in tall. I've talked with the guys at ron davis and they tell me I need to run a a water pump driven fan or my rig will heat up at higher rpm's because of horsepower, which is not an option because my flex fan would stick 4 inches above the chassis and would not be centered to use a shroud. Has anyone ran an aluminum radiator with electric fans on their rigs, I have a BBC that's moderately modified. I will be mainly running in the dezert and sand dunes.

Yeah everything is an option at this point. I also looked at the front of the chassis an figured that I could run a 31 in radiator if needed as well. I would just have to build a frame around it that would flow with the front of the tube chassis. If I ran dual fans on a 31 in radiator would I need to get fans that were sealed in a shroud or would 2 stand alone fans be sufficient.

I've seen a bunch of guys run aluminum radiators with electric fans on buggies. Technically I'm not sure of the aluminum part, but I don't know why you couldn't.
