Okay, I have the new tow rig all broken in and am ready to go get the trailer. I am looking for a 20' flatbed gooseneck with 5' dovetail (or something close to it, if the price is right).

I have heard there are some places not too far across the Red that have some decent prices. If anyone knows of a good place to get a trailer with reasonable pricing, let me know. I am willing to drive a few hours if it will save me some good bucks. Around here I am looking at $2500 used to $3500 brand spankin' new.

Let's get this CK5 network going!

(oh yeah, i could be willing to pay a locaters fee in beer /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

Look in Calera and Madill, OK. They have several manufacturers out there that turn them out a LOT cheaper than Big Tex. Just watch for quality issues and check over yours good. What kind of tow rig did you get?

Got any names of places in that area? I don't want to drive the distance unless I already know there is a good deal waiting.

I got an '03 GMC 2500HD D/A CC SB 4x4 back in late-May. It's a dream. While not as much fun it is definitely much more comfortable than the Jimmy! I need to get the trailer so I can enjoy the Jimmy offroad while relaxing in the comforts of the 2500HD to and from!

Hey Brian
Let me know what you find.
I have been looking for one as well.
I have yet to find any that compare to each other, the pricing is all over the place. Watch for how many cross members there are, axle rates, tire quality.
Good luck
Ray

If you want a good quality trailer and I mean QUALITY. Then contact J-R0d in Red Oak, Tx. There number is 877-473-5763 (JROD). I've seen a 24' goosneck with a 4' dovetail and it was very impressive, made a Big Tex look like a piece of garbarge.

Just my .02 worth. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

You get what you pay for in trailers. I wouldn't buy one just because it is cheap.

Fair Trailer Sales in Azle, TX is a great place to buy a trailer. They are located on Hwy. 199 between Azle and Springtown.

I agree completely on the cheap thing. That is why I am not looking for low bidder. But, then again, I don't need tandem 10k oil bath axles either (which is what some have tried to sell me).

I will check these guys out. Thanks for the tip.

My Dad is in the antiques business and he bought a WW trailer from OK. He's real happy w/ it and the quality of the workmanship. For what it's worth...
