Hey guys. Looking to go taller. I am tired of scraping on every rock garden I hit.

Ideally I would like to fit 38s or 40s. I already have 52" springs in front and 56 in back. But I am only sitting on35 inch tires.

The thing flexes like crazy now and I don't want to lose that.

do I just need to invest in 4 inch lift springs to get me there? or taller?

You should be able to fit 38s with just some fender trimming. Lift springs aren't going to last unless you get some real high dollar ones (like the ones ORD sells). I'd look to see what bodywork you can do to keep your CG low and run the bigger tires.

I don't see why lift springs would last any less time than the stockers? Id buy skyjackers.. or bds they are lifetime warranty and they don't care what you put them on.. I have a spring rate chart if you are interested in all the bds springs.

If you don't want to cut more you might consider 2.5" lift 52's.

If he's happy with his suspension, why change it? Make the tires fit with what he has now.

Could use zero rates front and rear to get another inch. I have that with my 52/56 set up. Nets about 5" total of lift. And if you look in my build thread in my sig, you can see that I fit 38.5's pretty easy. I did trim some, but I would think if you were the type to do the 52/56 swap mod, you wouldn't have problems timming some fenders.

Thanks guys. I am not opposed to trimming at all. Honestly it is going to getting doved in the front eventually. main concern is ground clearance.

I will end up throwing the 38s on there and trimming for now!

Ground clearance is mostly created by the tire, not the lift spring. The springs are just what gives you the clearance to run bigger tires. Until you get high centered anyway.

Was going to say the exact same thing as above. You can lift the thing as high as you want but it won't make much difference at all. I've had the same 4" of lift for years but have gone from 33, 35, 38, and now 39.5" tires. Each step up in tire size made a difference, and tire size is the only thing that will help clearance at the axles.

Correct! but. I am looking for avoiding just demolishing the fenders to clear 38s. Also I am on my rock sliders A LOT. Thank god for them.

Trying to get the body up a tad but mainly the diffs.

A combo of zero rates and taller tires will probably get you where you want to be. The 1" body lift if you need a touch more.
