ok guys need help. just pickup a 91 k5 from the local fire company clean from there auction house. there is a fisher plow on it i was going to take the whole frame mount of and let it sit till next winter. ok so now i want to lift it just 2 inches so i can run 33 inch tires or so nothing to big. is it a good idea to get the rough country lift or tc,bds or something with a high rate spring so when the plow is installed again it wont look like a hot rod from the 70"s i will try to post pics soon just waiting for wifey to go to get my plates.

I would try alcan spring. The PO for my truck ran a 5 inch lift from them with a plow as well. No lean or front end sag is apparent, this is with the plow on and off for 3 years....

where in NY are you?

i have a 1ton 4x4 k30 with 4" hd ? brand lift kit and 2" body lift. she rides on 35" tires all the time. ats in summer and mt in winter time.

i have a 8ft hd comercial fisher old school speedcast on it. the plow/aframe alone is 725 lbs. when i hook it up it drops 1/4 -1/3 of an inch. she is a tank. but the main draw back is the plow needs good markers and 3/4 of the way up to even see the top edge of the blade.

give me a few days and i can get pics for ya posted up.

and where are you in ny state? i am 14845 zip code horseheads ny. nice to find more local guys in the area.

well, I'M in westchester but often am spotted in orange county....

that sounds good sweet. i have the plow frame on it now but will be takeing it off soon for the summer. i too will be posting pics of the blazer soon. iam just looking to get a little bit of lift so i can run 33 inch tires so it does not look like grandpa's truck on a sunday afternoon.
