I am putting a warmed over 700r4 in the 6.2l burb...the burb has an electric speedo, antilock rear brakes, CC.

My question: the transfer case (NP241, both 1989) is cable driven. I need a signal for the speedo and creature comforts. I have no ECM as far as I know...

Can I make what I have work together, or do I need a newer t.c.?

All google did was make my brain hurt///:doah:

burb is a 90, with an electric speedo & turbo 400. the tranny & tc is an 89. The burb is currently 2wd...

the more research I do the more my brain hurts...I think there is a DRAC in there somewhere. I need to pull the glove box door & snoop around some...and get a service manual!

You will need t-case parts from a '90-91 burb or K5. They are kind of odd and hard to find parts sometimes. I don't know all the details, but this would be the same for a gas rig, so post in the garage as well if you haven't already.

it looks like I need to do that, or maybe find an adapter to generate a signal...

and this is in the garage also...thanks for the help. :waytogo:

Jags that run should have the right adaptor for the t case

If not I have a drivers drop 241, if those parts will work I can pull what you need and send it

kewl...I need to crawl under the greasy pig & see how it's connected. I've been studying up on it, if I can get hold of the reluctor gear for a 241 I can use the factory sensor & wiring. They seem about as rare as hens teeth...

a-ha!!!

found the part # for the 241 tone ring, via CK5 archives & google, part #15547433, GM PartsDirect $15.56....:thumb::thumb::thumb:

all I gotta do know is check the shaft & see if there it's splined to recieve the gear.... (crossing fingers)...
