OK, here is the story. My dad has a '00 Explorer sport and has never been able to find the right shocks for it. It seems like everytime he gets new ones they are just as bad as the old ones. It feels like they are underdampened. If you go up over a curb or big bump it just bounces all over the place and doesn't settle down for a few seconds. It feels like the springs are overpowering the shocks. Does anybody have any experience with this and can give some recommendations? I have heard good things about the Bilsteins, but not from anyone who actually had them. Just second hand info.
