Anyone know the part # for the steering wheel Column Bearins or re-build kit?

I found out where the 2 shims go but the the bearings fell out /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif I guess they needed to be replaced anyway /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

I thought I did but I can't find the invoice. You can get the bearings in the ignition rack kit. It has the rack and the plastic gear for the ignition switch and it has the 2 bearing that go in the tilt bowl. I think it was only like 20 or 30 bucks from the dealer.

Sorry, no part number in the illustration catalog, but the "SPRING KIT, Tilt Upr" is group 6.521, at least for a tilt wheel/column shift AT.

That kit includes:
Pin, Pivot;
Race, upr sft & brg;
Seat, upr brg Inr race;
Retainer, spr;
spring, whl tilt;
guide, spring

Out of the '85-88 C/K/R/V parts manual. All 4 years of those are covered in the above description.

Is that the same as the one you listed above? @ gmpartsdirect it calls it a "rack kit" is that everything I need like you listed above?

That part # is for the entire rebuild kit. Ignition rack a plastic gear 2 bearings and 2 shims and a spring
