I am restoring my '74 K5 Cheyene. Can someone post or send me PICs of what the stock rear seat looked like. Also, a PIC of how it mounts up front and rear. Finally, a PIC of how the seat belts mount. Thanks.

Another question. Did all '74's come with the roll bar? Mine does not have one and was wondering if it came stock and was removed at some point. Where did it mount? Body or frame? Welded or bolted? If I know where, I can look for the nuts.

I'd have to pull a whole bunch of crap outta the truck to get good pics. I'll see if i can get a littel time this weekend to get some Pics. I'll take a gander in the manual too to see if theres pics/drawings that woudl be worth scanning. If you dont see anything by Mon. PM me and remind me.

Too bad you didn't post this last month:
I had a perfect rear seat that I dumped, also could have taken some pics of the floor where it mounts, now I modified it and put a newer style that folds and tumbles from 80 k5.
Very easy mod by the way and if you wanna do this I have an extra seat.
:D

As for the roll bar on the 74 it mounted right at the B pillar, bolted down on the floor as well as on the top of the B pillar to help keep the sides from spreading out.
Made a big difference on mine compared to my 73 with no roll bar which when flexing would get all twisted up.

Did you do a write up on this? I've thought about doing this too......

I did not do a write up but if needed, I could when I get some time.
It took me all of 30 minutes to get it figured out and installed.
:D

what did you use to make the latch rod for the rear part of the seat to latch to and how did you mount it under the body....

I had a rod laying around from when I did an extension to my shifter after a body lift, I think it was 1/2" but it could have been 7/16" I layed it across and used 2 straps that usually hold fuel lines on the frame to attach from under the body and I cut the floor so the latch can go thru.
I will try and take pics tomorrow and post.

Sorry for the Hijack to the original poster.
:D :haha:

Well not quite a photo, but hopefully some help.
