Using a '74 K5 chassis and an '80 C20 cab, I was thinking of tubing the rear much like monster trucks have in order to run the side panels, or skins.
I'd take a Blazer or SWB side panel and remove the inner panels to run just the outer skins. Fasten them to tubing which will be narrowed towards the rear. Make the panels removable, too.
Any pics or other ideas about this?

for now.not having a welder makes things take longer.i looked at the inner skin today and thought about what can go.but i DD it also AND if i cut off too much i seem to regret it later.
i might need it for a radiator support?my brother did get me the aluminum plate for the floor though.
no more 80lb plates.lighter is good in mud also.
