I think that I am going to get some sliders made for my 1970 K5. The passenger side rocker box is rusted out and the driver's side could use to be replaced too. Do you have any pics of your sliders that also act as new rocker boxes? Any info/pictures that you have would be awesome.
Thanks! /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

How does it affect the fender mounting Harley? Hope you dont mind me asking questions but Im gonna be doing the same thing. How did you tie them into the body support channel?

The fenders are not really mounted to the slider. You cut out a lower fender mount an kinda let it be. The bottom of the fender might flap around on you some but it isn't going to hurt anything that I know of. Alot of the AZ guys run just like that.

The body support is cut so the slider goes right in there and you can weld to it in some places. I am going to add some more supports of angle iron or something to tie them in a little better. Sofar they are welded to the door sill rear part of the rocker box that you don't cut out and to the body supports some. I also added in a support in the back to help out. 1 run sofar and they are doing fine. I will know more later. I will try and get some pics if I can.

Just don't critique my spot welds too harshly... I just started welding. I'm gonna finish 'em up Saturday and cut the finders a little more to match.
