Ok this one has me baffled, I need some reassurance.
My 83 k5 blazer sbc 350(crate 700 r4 with np208. I believe 3.08 gears don't recall.

I purchase the rig a little over 2 years ago.
it originally had auto hubs which of course were not functioning, swapped them out with some warn hubs, had the tcase gone through an adjusted.
I dont recall having any issues in 4 hi in the past.
recently I had a failure with the front hub.
swapped them out.
Here is were I need reassurance

Place the blazer on jackstands an engaged the 4hi the rear tires spin, the driver side tires spin but the pass does not. is this normal or is it because of limited slip. Verified that the hubs are engaged an the axles spin.
when I unlocked them no axle spin with is normal

When I put the hubs back I actually read the instructions again to make sure I was doing everything correct. The only thing I could not do was get the snap ring on the axle shaft installed, according to the warn instructions this is fine an will not void anything.

any help would be appreciated

I don't have the snap rings on my front axles, since I went to Warns years ago. Factory will have 3.08 and open differential. If open they will spin in different directions normally. It does not take much for one to stop spinning, if it has any drag.

Unless you have a locker in the front diff only one tire is going to spin
Well, if the parasitic drag was identical on both sides, both should spin, correct? It would just take having the wheel bearing and brake drag the same. But if one caliper slide had more drag and kept the tension on the outer pad more than the other, then it would be imbalanced.

@MEMO43 check out how things feel with it in 2wd. (In the air) Is there a similar amount of drag when rotating the front wheels by hand. (Compare the sides)
The lock the hubs, and lock it into 4 hi. You should be able to turn on side and have the other side turn the opposite direction.

Thanks for all the responses.
Everything is stock in the rig minus the Rust, that's aftermarket :)
This time of year 4wd really comes in handy.
I'm a retired US Marine an now a 911 operator
crappy weather 4x4 comes in real handy. especially when the county shuts down the roads due to snow (like feet at a time)

@6872xtc will jack it back up again tomorrow an check. I know the tires spin freely when of the ground.
but will check an report.

and for good measures and viewing pleasures
snow wheeling is in the near future

The pic is my 2000 stock silverado covered in snow after a 10 hr shift. the rig next to it is a newer ram with a camper shell

That's a hell of a resume', my friend...why don't you try a low stress job for a change? All kidding aside, dispatching is a rough job, people don't realize how taxing it can be...hours and hours of boredom and dealing with nuts on the phone, then without warning, you're dealing with a life-threatening emergency or even two at the same time. And everyone is counting on you, both the caller and the emergency workers responding. At least you've got some nice scenery to look at on your drive in! Thank you for stepping up to make all our lives easier...twice.

It always sounded dangerous to me - having the drivetrain spinning on Jack stands. Operation of the T-case and hubs is easy to verify with engine off by lifting just one tire at a time. With trans in Park, you should only be able to rotate any wheel a fraction of a revolution. Unlock the hub and it should spin freely. Shift to 2-HI and the the front tire you're rotating will turn the front driveshaft.
