need some 700r4 help

alrighty i wanted to know about what my rpm drop should be in 4th when my tc locks up. The blazer is on 31s whith 308 gears. At about 60 i see a drop of 200-300 rpm, but when im in 3rd ill see a drop of around 400-600rpm. is this kinda normal?

yep, its normal. the drop depends on the stall ratio of the converter, a higher stall will have a higher drop when it locks up.

700r4 Swap

My friend just totaled his 92 shevy stepside. I have an 89 k5. Would his 700r4 trany fit in my truck? How about the computer module or anyother electrical hookups like that? I an not up on things like this.

yes it will bolt in it is the same gm did not go to the 4L60E until 93
