Need some advice about 2.5 tons

I have a 1979 Jimmy it is all stock, I'm wanting to install 2.5 ton rockwells. with maybe 53" or around there military tires. the truck will only be used at trucks gone wild. I am looking for some info/links with info on rockwells, i know a lot of it i will figure out as i go but any advice would be helpful.
