Hey all,

I am preparing to start some brake work on my 74 Full Time 4wd blazer. I have never done brakes on a 4wd and would like some tips. I have heard things from a few folks about a deep bolt that needs a special socket but that is about all. Any tips of the trade or tool advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks
Scott

they were probably talking about a spindle nut socket

kinda bad pic i just google'd it

might be able to do the job without it but it makes it soooo much easyer(?).

the nut is on the front axle after you pull off the drive flanges. there will be one nut then the "lock washer" then another nut. then you will be able to pull the rotor off (assuming you allready took the caliper off)

6 to 8 inch C clamp. If you are replacing the calipers not needed. Pushes the caliper piston back in to make room for the new pads. Also another foot in the truck to push the pedal while bleeding and flushing the lines. I never had good luck with a fluid pump.
