Hey guys, blew a brake line Friday night on my way home. Problem is I have already replaced the line, and bled the rear system back out, but I still cannot get the prop valve to reset. I am getting very little fluid flow out of the rear system, and pushing the little reset button doesn't seem to work. Any ideas on what I can do to get this reset and get my truck back on the road? This is my 1980 K5 with stock 12b rear drums.

I opened all four valves with the key on and pumped the brakes about 5 times and the BRAKE light went out, prop valve reset and I got fluid out of the rear.

I had to take the pressure off the front brakes to get my rears to bled. Basically just opened the bleeders and bleed the rear and then the front.

Yeah, the pressure bleeder helps big time, thats what opening all the valves is doing so the pressure can equalize. That should do it.

BTW, as you are a resident of Utah, I would like to say thanks to Utah for letting a guy get executed by firing squad. Too bad he sat on death row for so long. :D I would personally donate enough .30-06 to get the job done of the 500 some odd people I pay to have rot in a hole through taxes until they die of old age here in Bleeding heart liberal California.
