I picked up a front grille guard recently (thanks @JoshHefnerX) that looks close enough to the Hickey grille guard I'm going to use it (hell it might even be one, dunno). I'd like to build the brush guards that bolt on to either side and was curious if anyone knew what the OD on the tube is (1" possibly?). Here's a picture of a complete Hickey guard:

I also plan on building a tire carrier for the back like the Hickey Cadillac carrier, but that attaches through the bumper (using inspiration from @NorCal69 build). Anyone have an idea what size tube would work best? I plan on having it swing out to either side. I was thinking about splitting the part the tire mounted to so the wheel helps hold it together while closed. I need to draw it up, but would like it to look similar to this:

Also look at the pictures here: Silver Suburban first time I've seen one actually on a truck. I think I'd use square tube for the tire carrier instead of round, though.
